The Hong Kong Racehorse Owners Association ("HKROA") established in 1978, serves as a crucial platform for Hong Kong racehorse owners. The objectives include fostering cooperation among owners, collaborating with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, gathering owners' opinions on racing matters, and disseminating information. The HKROA communicates members' views to The Hong Kong Jockey Club through reports and offers various activities for members, including social events and educational opportunities. Additionally, the HKROA provide collective bargaining for bloodstock insurance covers, benefitting members with favorable terms for their horses.
The Council
The business affairs and management of the Association are managed by the Council of the Association.
The Council shall consist of not more than twenty-one elected members.
Officers of the Association
The Officers of the Association consist of a President, four Vice Presidents, an Hon Secretary - Administration, an Hon Secretary - Racing and an Hon Treasurer. Each Officer must be a Council Member of the Association and may only hold office from the first Council Meeting to be held immediately after the Annual General Meeting in any one year until the next Annual General Meeting of the Association.
